Dr. Jugal Dharia, DPM
Dr. Dharia is a Philadelphia native, where he attended George Washington High School and graduated with honors. Dr. Dharia went on to college at Temple University, where he studied Finance in addition to Biology. After graduating with a dual degree in Finance and Biology, his interest in business and finance led him to manage his family business.

While volunteering at a local hospital, he found his true passion for helping people. Subsequently, he attended medical school at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine . He then went on to complete a three year his surgical residency at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, FL , where the strong emphasis was placed on the reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and trauma.

During residency, Dr. Dharia won awards two years in a row at a statewide resident competition at the annual Florida Podiatric Medical Symposium. He was also an active lecturer for the local Palm Beach County conferences and was part of weekly lecture series and case presentations to faculty, residents, and students.
​
Dr. Dharia has continued education with courses specializing in Ilizarov Thin Wire External Fixation, Ankle Arthroscopy, Wound Care and Reconstruction of Foot and Ankle. Dr. Dharia is board qualified from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons .
​
He is a firm believer in treating his patients with the same respect and kindness as he would treat his family. We are pleased to have him and his surgical experience become wonderful additions to our practice.

Dr. Dharia is married and lives locally. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, photography, and biking.
Dr. Ankita Dharia, DPM
Dr. Ankita Dharia is a native to Northern Virginia, growing up locally in Alexandria. After graduating high school, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she obtained her bachelors degree in Biology. While volunteering in her spare time and preceptoring as a research assistant at VCU, she developed a strong interest in medicine. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA where she obtained her doctorate in Podiatric medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Dharia finished her surgical training and residency at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, NJ. After residency, she decided to come back to her home state and worked at a private practice in Falls Church for 5 years prior to joining our practice.
​
Being a local, she understands the patient population of NOVA is very physically active. Her ultimate goal in approaching any treatment plan is to get you back on your feet doing the things you love the most. She believes in treating patients the same way she would want her family treated. She has a strong interest in podo-pediatrics, sports medicine, and wound care. Dr. Dharia is currently credentialed at Virginia Hospital Center.

When she is away from the practice, Dr. Dharia enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her children.
Dr. Steven Vetter, DPM, Retired
Dr. Steven Vetter arrived in Washington DC in 1982. Obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology in 1975 from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho he went on to earn his podiatry medical degree (D.P.M) with honors from Californian College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA. His surgical residency was completed at Medical Center Hospital in Portland, Oregon prior to coming to Washington, DC.

Dr. Vetter entered private group practice in 1981, beginning in Maryland prior to entering solo practice in Virginia in 1987. He maintains hospital privileges for inpatient and outpatient care at INOVA Fairfax, INOVA Fair Oaks Hospitals, and Fairfax Surgical Center. He participates with the residency training committee affiliated with INOVA Fairfax Hospital.

Dr. Vetter is married with two grown children. In his off hours, he enjoys mountain climbing, running, biking, swimming, skiing, diving, 3 marathons and traveling.
​
Dr. Vetter has retired from practicing medicine as of June 2023.
